Ben is the founder of Active Social Life and works on his own to deliver tailored programs for people in Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). After three years in the disability sector, he started his own practice with one main goal: to spend more time helping clients and less time on paperwork. He joined the Ligantic Accelerator program to see how AI and new technology could help him build a smarter, more efficient business from the start.
Managing an independent support practice involves handling participant intake, writing session notes, and meeting compliance requirements, all while supporting people with disabilities. For someone working alone like Ben, paperwork could easily take up the time he wanted to spend with clients. NDIS reporting rules are strict, and session notes need to be thorough to meet support coordinators’ standards and ensure good care. Writing these notes by hand, often hours after a session, made them less detailed, less accurate, and much more time-consuming.
With the help of the Ligantic Accelerator program, Ben built a complete participant management system on the Ligantic platform, even though he does not have a technical background. Working with the Ligantic team, he designed and launched a solution tailored to the specific needs of his NDIS practice, automating the workflows that used to take up so much of his time.
Building on the Ligantic Platform also meant Ben could draw on its built-in security capabilities rather than having to create those foundations himself. Knowing the platform met industry-standard security requirements, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, helped him build with greater confidence. With support to configure customised roles, he could use Ligantic authentication and granular role-based and attribute-based access controls (RBAC and ABAC) to tailor access to his practice’s security needs and risk position.

A simple onboarding form collects clear, structured information from new participants. This replaces manual data entry and makes sure everything is consistent from the start.
This is a central place where Ben records and manages his session notes. After each session, he records a voice note on his phone, which is then automatically turned into detailed, context-rich documentation that is ready to review before sending to support coordinators.
Ben makes use of new Ligantic platform features as they come out, steadily improving his system. He also takes part in the Ligantic Discord community for support and collaboration, so his tools keep growing with his practice.

Ben created a professional participant management system even though he doesn’t have a technical background. This gives him the tools of a much bigger organisation while still letting him focus on his clients. Now, he spends less time on paperwork and more time supporting the people he works with. By staying involved with the Ligantic platform and community, his system keeps improving, and each new feature helps him make his practice even more efficient. What began as an Accelerator project is now the core of Active Social Life’s operations.
